I bought a new toy last weekend, an Emerson Folding Karambit. It has quickly become my favorite knife, if for no reason other than it makes me feel like a Velociraptor when I hold it. If that isn't enough to make a knife a great purchase, then I don't know what is. It is one of those things that taught me to respect it almost immediatly. Within 24 hours of purchase, I had sliced open my middle finger and cut a solid chunk of skin and a bit of muscle from the tip of my pinkie finger. I am now much more careful with it. Just a not-so-subtle lesson that even a raptor can cut itself on its own talons
